Susan Frank
Nobles
May 4, 1950 — June 21, 2026
Susan’s life was as beautiful as the quilts she created, stitched together with love, devotion, and countless cherished moments.
Susan Frank Nobles passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on June 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 4, 1950, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Susan’s life was as beautiful as the quilts she created, stitched together with love, devotion, and countless cherished moments that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
Susan lived a life filled with kindness, faith, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. Those fortunate enough to know her will remember her gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and the dedication she showed in every role she held—as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and member of her community.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Bobby Jack “BJ" Nobles of Belton, with whom she shared 46 beautiful years of companionship, joy, and love; her son, Nat Robert Taylor and his wife, Cameron, of Fort Worth, Texas, and her daughter, Cathy Jo Dennison and her husband, Drew, of Morgan’s Point Resort, Texas, whom she shared with her first husband, John Edward Taylor; her brothers, Duncan Frank and his wife, Mendy, of Guymon, Oklahoma, and Larry Joe Stephens of Greenville, Texas; her sisters, Marie Olsen-Lester of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Lavona Smith of Cushing, Oklahoma; and Fran Olsen-Sharp of Norman, Oklahoma; three cherished grandchildren, Nathanael Austin Taylor, Caitlin Skye Taylor, and Zachary Allen Dennison; many beloved extended family members and friends; and her treasured dogs, Cowgirl, Jasper, and 3C.
Susan’s life began in Oklahoma, where her deep roots in family, faith, and tradition were planted. She carried fond memories of growing up on her family’s ranch in Osage County, Oklahoma. She loved to ride horses and even did some barrel racing in her youth. Her love for riding horses, raising cattle, and living the “Cowgirl” life was infinite. This is where her lifelong love of raising and caring for animals began.
Susan was Valedictorian of her class at Shidler High School, graduated from Cameron College in Oklahoma and pursued a career she truly enjoyed as a CPA. She worked 25+ years and retired from Temple Tag, where she was able to remain close to her love for livestock and ranching.
Susan was strong in her faith and was a long-term member of 3C Cowboy Fellowship in Salado. She developed many deep friendships during her time and service to 3C. She would do anything for her church family. Susan loved so much to share her talents to serve the Lord in many roles throughout the years.
She was also wonderfully creative and found joy in many hobbies, including quilting, painting, stained glass, riding horses, rescuing animals, and spending time with her family and friends. Susan found her passion and loved the people with whom she shared the many hours at these activities. Susan was part of the same painting group of women for well over 30 years, and nothing could keep her from these weekly meetings.
Her passing leaves a gentle ache in the hearts of those who loved her. Yet even in grief, there is gratitude for the beauty Susan brought into the world, the memories she gifted so freely, and the love she shared throughout her life.
A visitation to remember and celebrate Susan’s life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 3C Cowboy Fellowship, located at 16258 Gooseneck Road, Salado, Texas 76571. A memorial service will follow at the same location from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, CenTex Humane Society, or 3C Cowboy Church
