Theresa Josephine Mireles, age 53, of Little River Academy, a shining light in the lives of many, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2023. Theresa was born on April 25, 1969, to Andrew and Teresa Mireles in Thailand. She was a woman of immense generosity, a faith-filled spirit, and selflessness that touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Theresa was a proud graduate of Academy High School, Class of 1987. After high school, she went on to work where she could help others, whether that be co-workers or customers, her dedication and hard work were evident to all. She was a woman of great faith, and as an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Theresa's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found solace in her relationship with God. She was a devout Catholic who took every opportunity to share her faith with others, often leading by example through her acts of kindness and selflessness. Theresa's faith-filled spirit was a testament to her unwavering trust in God's plan for her life and the lives of those around her.
In the words of Mother Teresa, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." Theresa embodied this spirit, and her generous nature was evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a beacon of positivity and an inspiration to those around her, always putting others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Mireles in 2014, and nephew Travis Mireles in 2016.
Theresa's love for her family was immeasurable, and she took great pride in being an aunt to her beloved niece and nephews. She is survived by her mother, Teresa Mireles of Little River Academy; her brothers, Paul Mireles and his wife, Phaiwan of Little River Academy, Peter Mireles and his wife, Becky of Arlington, and Bob Mireles and his wife, Kim of Little River Academy; her nieces, Dayna Mireles of Del Valle and Joanna Atchison of Arlington; her nephews, Joseph Mireles and Jacob Mireles, both of Little River Academy, and Hayden Atchison of Arlington; two great nephews, one great niece, and many cherished family members and friends. Theresa was a constant source of love, support, and encouragement to her family, and her presence will be deeply missed.
In these moments of grief, as we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, let us celebrate Theresa's life and the countless ways she made the world a better place. Her generosity, faith, and selflessness will continue to inspire and motivate us to carry on her legacy of love and kindness. Theresa Josephine Mireles will forever remain a part of us, and her spirit will guide us as we continue to spread love and happiness in her memory.
Rest in peace, dear Theresa. Your life was a gift to all who knew you, and your memory will live on in the hearts of those you touched with your unwavering kindness, faith, and selflessness.
Theresa’s rosary will be recited by Father Kurtis Wiedenfeld. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple. Theresa’s funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 8:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church father Curtis will be officiating.
