Uvaldo Silvas

Uvaldo Silvas, 72, of Temple passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at a Temple nursing home. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday March 26, 2013 at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton. Uvaldo Silvas was born April 13, 1940 to Ramon and David (Gutierrez) Silvas in Skidmore, TX. He married Josephine (Sanchez) Silvas July 17, 1959 and later Anna Giles February 27, 1982. He worked as a guard for the Texas Department of Corrections for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and vacations at the coast. He is survived by his wife Anne Giles of Gatesville; ;six sons, Steve Silvas of Temple, Sam Silvas of Temple, Sandy Silvas of Hereford AZ, Scott Silvas of Temple , Shawn Silvas of Temple, and Shadow Silvas of Gatesville; four Daughters, Sally Ralston of Little River Academy, Stacy Torquato of Temple, Samantha Silvas of Temple and Shalane Giles of Urbana, IL.:Twenty two grandchildren and thirteen great grand children. He was preceded in death by; his parents, Ramon and David Silvas, one infant son, Giles Silvas and one daughter, Barbara Silvas. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
