Virginia Lee Morris passed away on August 22, 2026, in Belton, Texas, at the age of 74. Born on April 5, 1952, in Marion County, Texas, she was Virginia to those who knew her, MiMi to her grandchildren, and Mom to her sons. No matter what name you called her,she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. 

Virginia was loving, funny, spirited, stubborn, and wonderfully ornery. She was never one to hide how she felt. If she was happy, you knew it. If she was mad, you definitely knew it. She had no problem speaking her mind, and those who knew her well understood that was simply part of who she was. 

But just as fiercely as Virginia could speak her mind, she loved hard. She loved her family deeply and without reservation. With Virginia, you always knew where you stood,and you always knew you were loved. Beneath her fiery personality was a caring woman with a big heart who would do whatever she could for the people who mattered most to her. 

Virginia was a Christian woman whose faith remained an important part of her life. She faced life with strength, determination, and a steady spirit. She experienced her share of difficult times, but she continued moving forward and remained devoted to the people she loved. 

Virginia had a way of making her presence known. She brought laughter, personality, and sometimes a little fire wherever she went. She could make you laugh, give you her opinion whether you asked for it or not, and keep everyone around her on their toes.Those things were part of what made her Virginia, and they are part of what her family will miss most.

Virginia worked hard throughout her life and took pride in doing what needed to be done for the people she loved. 

Above all else, family was at the center of Virginia’s world. 

She is survived by her partner of the last six years, Terry Whindam; her sons, Scottie Morris, Clinton Morris, and Joseph Morris; her grandsons, Sean Morris and Ryan Morris; her granddaughter, Melanie Ann Morris; and her great-granddaughter, Ammeryn Smith.

She is also survived by her sisters, Patti Rafferty, Mary Blair, and Barbara Havner, along with extended family members and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.
