Wanda Gayle Clark

June 14, 1965 — December 3, 2018

Wanda Gayle Clark, 53, of Killeen, went to the comforting arms of the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2018 at a local hospital. A homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018 with a visitation held one hour prior to services, at God's True Church, located at 1401 West Tidwell, Houston, Tx. Wanda was the daughter of Willie and Helen James, born on June 14, 1965, in Houston, TX. Wanda was a giving person who loved helping those that were in need. She went out of her way to help families with whatever they were lacking, especially food and clothing. She was a very private person when it came to spending time at home with her family. Much of her time was spent making jewelry, crafts, and clothing. Wanda knew how to make a person feel loved and comforted as she interacted with people from all walks of life. Wanda served 4 years in the United States Air Force, with a tour in Germany, where she meet her husband of 29 years, Rodney A. Clark. She enjoyed walking through the community and going to the parks. Mrs. Clark enjoyed working in ministry and helping the church bring souls to Christ. One of her favorite things to do was teaching Sunday school for children ages 5-10. Wanda was very supportive of her children and encouraged them to be individuals, with strong spiritual and moral values that please God. Wanda was a member of Keeping It Real Ministries, Killeen, TX, New Bethel Christian Worship Center, Killeen TX, Cathedral of Deliverance and Praise Temple COGIC, Harker Heights TX, Life of Holiness, Fort Drum NY, True Tabernacle COGIC, Germany, Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Brockton MA, Zion Temple COGIC, Harker Heights, TX. She is survived by her mother, Helen James; her loving husband, Rodney A. Clark; three sons, Rodney A. Clark Jr.,Sidney W. Clark and David A. Clark, all of Killeen ;two daughters, Lilly A Clark, of Columbia, SC and Abijah G Clark, of Killeen, TX ;her brother, David Ware, of Houston, TX, ;three sisters, Barbra Ware, Francis Smith, and Renita Ware all of Houston,TX and one grandchild.
