Alma Lee Chewning Slay

Alma Lee Chewning Slay, 96, of temple passed away on Monday, December13, 2021 at a Temple nursing home. 

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Her body was cremated.

Alma was born to John Martin and Minnie Ethel (Peel) Chatwood. Alma was one of eight children. She married Coleman Slay and he preceded her in death in 2004.

She is survived by one son, John Chewning and wife, Martha of Hamiliton, Georgia; one daughter, Betty Vernon of Belton; one granddaughter, Nichole Vernon of Belton.
