Christopher Decker

September 6, 1990 — December 30, 2021

Christopher Glenn Decker, 31, of Belton, passed away suddenly in a single vehicle accident on December 30th, 2021, around 5pm, less than 5 minutes from his home.

A visitation for Chris will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 7th, 2022 at Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on January 8th,2022, also at Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

Chris was born on September 6th, 1990, in Austin, Texas, to Jeanette and Jeffrey Decker. The family moved to Colorado briefly then to Manor, Texas. In 2003 they moved to Lago Vista where Chris attended high school and played linebacker for the varsity team. He joined the Army in 2011 and was discharged in 2015. He worked for his dad's company, Lago Vista Fence, off and on starting in high school, but joined his dad full time after he left the Army. He was an extremely hard worker and dedicated fence builder.

In October 2015 he met his soulmate, Naomi Munson, and they were married December 24th, 2016. Chris was obsessed with old trucks, muscle cars, and vehicles of all kinds. He loved football, especially the Cowboys and Longhorns. He had a big sweet tooth, and loved food of all kinds, especially pizza and honeycomb.

Chris never met a stranger and would tell his whole life story to everyone he met. He would stop and help anyone broken down roadside, and he could build or fix almost anything. He had a huge heart, great smile, and gave the best hugs. His wife and 3 young sons were the pride and joy of his life. He was a strong Christian and believer in Jesus. He attended Western Hills with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi Decker; his three sons, Gideon Decker, Valor Decker, and Atlas Decker; parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Decker; brother, Thomas Decker; in laws Mark and Esther Munson, sisters and brothers in law Lydia, Enoch, Bethany, Grace, Elijah, Luke, Anna Munson; many extended family, and tons of friends.

Chris died with his boots on, supremely happy, driving his favorite truck, and knowing he was extremely loved. He is terribly missed.
