Cynthia Kay Jackson

June 28, 1963 — September 10, 2021

 

Cynthia Kay Jackson, 58 of Killeen passed away on Friday, September 10,2021. 

 

Cynthia was born on June 28,1963 in Dallas, Texas to LoEtta and William Jackson.  She is a graduate of Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Woman's University with a degree in Deaf Education.  She spent her career working as a Deaf and Special Education Education Teacher in the Killeen Independent School District and retired after 30 years of service. She led a beginning sign language class to the community as she believed sign language was not just for the teachers and parents of hearing impaired/deaf students. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her and her bubbly personality.  “If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you must remember…” “ You are braver than you believe, stronger than you feel, and smarter than you think.  But the most important thing is, even if we are apart, I’ll always be with you.”  Winnie the Pooh

Cynthia is survived by her mother and step-father LoEtta and William Millet, Sr.; her father and step-mother William and Mary Jackson; her sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Marc  Humphrey and their three children Conner, Ty, and Hope whom she loved with all her heart; her step-brothers and their wives; Jeff and Tonja Millet; Brian and Cindy Millet; Chris and Katherine Millet; Jonathan and Jenni Millet; Jim Randle; Mark Randle.  Her uncles and aunts Jimmy and Susan Etheridge,  Stanley Etheridge, and Carla Etheridge Burkhalter, along with many cousins, nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Juanita and Willard Etheridge, and step brothers; William Millet, Jr. and Gregory Millet. 

 

A private family graveside service will be held at Preston Bend Cemetery.
 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local Diabetes Foundation.
