Dorothy Ruth Cox

Dorothy Ruth Cox, 94, of Killeen passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in a local nursing home. Dorothy was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Murray and Lou Ann Watts on September 29, 1926. Mrs. Cox taught Kindergarten when she lived in Bowling Green and worked numerous jobs during her husband's military service. She was a homemaker that raised six children.

A graveside service for Mrs. Cox will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2:30 PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville with Pastor H.K. Ballard officiating.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her sons, Herman Orange, Sr. of Greenville, and William Orange and wife Mary of Killeen; her adopted son, Darrell Orange, Jr. of Waco; her daughters, Katherine Asher and husband Robert of Harker Heights, Susan Lamphear of Cedar Park, and Patricia Brunson of Harker Heights; and her numerous adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Cox; her son, Darrell Orange Sr.; her grandson, Shane Orange; and her sister, Marie Hudson.
