Johnny Duane Johnson

February 28, 1962 — January 9, 2021

Johnny Duane Johnson, 58, of Belton passed away peacefully on January 09, 2021, in the comfort of his family in Burnet. Johnny was born to Joan and Duane Johnson on February 28, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas.   Johnny spent most of his summers as a child in Lawton, Oklahoma with his grandparents Cecil and Faye Johnson.

A memorial service for Johnny will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton.

Johnny is survived by his mother, Joan Johnson; his beloved children Shane Drousche, Seth Drousche, Josh Johnson and his wife Kayli, Brandon Johnson, and his daughter, Brittanie Visser and her husband John; his brothers, Shane Johnson, Mark Johnson, Jason Burt; his sister, Becky Stewart; his eleven grandchildren; Savannah, Colt, Bryan, Lilyann, Josh, Jarod, Jacen, Jackson, Wyatt, Chet and Brynn; two great grandchildren.

In the early 90s he worked in construction building high rise buildings and even built some of our local hospitals in the Temple area.

His biggest accomplishment would be his four children. Some of his best times were spent in Port Aransas, Texas at his beach house with his kids where they made unforgettable memories fishing and going to the beach.  He loved the outdoors and adventure.  His kids will always remember how spontaneous he was.  He would plan a trip in a few hours' notice, and they would be loading up and heading to the beach or on a camping trip.

He spent a lot of his most recent time at Temple Lake Park, fishing with his little dog, Sweetiepie, that he loved dearly.   He had a love for Rock n Roll music and was known to jam it loud. He never met a stranger, everywhere he went he was sure to start up a conversation.  He just loved everyone.  He was a jokester and even joked all the way up to his hardest days. Johnny’s big heart, his smile that could light up a room and his baby blues that brought a love to your heart will forever be missed and engraved in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Johnson, who just recently passed on November 24th, 2020.  His grandparents; Cecil and Faye Johnson; Robert and Gladys Stewart.

Johnny is now set free in Heaven and is suffering no more.  We can have much comfort in knowing that he is at peace in God's loving arms.
