April 12, 1959 — May 27, 2023

Belton, Texas

Memorial service for Linda Faye Mayes Hanusch, 64, of Belton will be 11 Am Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Rogers, Tx. Linda passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at a Temple hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born April 12, 1959, along with her twin sister, Brenda Lee Mayes Ledbetter in Cameron, Texas.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alta Faye (Morgan) and Walter Columbus Mayes, Brenda Joyce Zajicek and HL McQueen; her brother, Buck Mayes; three sisters, Brenda Lee Mayes Ledbetter, Faye Belicek and Susie Young.

She is survived by her loving husband Paul A. Hanusch; her sisters, Wanda Zajicek and husband Richard, Mary Antigue, Ruby Perkins and husband Robert, and Jennifer McQueen; her brothers, Frank and Joe McQueen.

Linda provided childcare services for numerous children over the years and worked briefly at Belton ISD. Her love for her family came first and foremost. She devoted her entire married life to providing a warm and loving home to her husband, extended family and her precious fur-babies, Sheba, Max, Molly, and Bear.

She loved “treasure hunting” at thrift stores and garage sales, cooking for family and friends both at home and at the races for her husband and brother- in-laws.  She enjoyed going to car shows and most recently she discovered a love for fishing with her sister Wanda. She devoted her whole life to taking care of others in so many ways. Her greatest love was her husband, Paul.  Rarely were the two apart in 40 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, not just her immediate family but extended family, Roy, David, and Mike Hanusch (Monika), Steven Breazeale and Les Ledbetter and sister-in-law, Pamela Hanusch Hambrick, nephew, Troy May (Jennifer) and numerous other nieces and nephews.

No greater gift is given than the gift of oneself.   That was our Linda.

Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
