Mary Elizabeth Neugent

Mary Elizabeth Neugent, 77, of Temple passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at her residence.

A viewing will be held from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Crotty Funeral Home followed by a graveside service held at Bellwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Temple with her son, Kelvin Neugent officiating.

Mary was born on May 12, 1943 in Wareham, Massachusetts to William and Gladys Pitts. She married John Walter Neugent on August 28, 1962. Mary was a homemaker most of her life. Her children considered her position to be a domestic engineer due to the amazing way she cared for her family. Mary loved to sew, make clothes, and quilts for her family. She was a very handy woman and remodeled several of their homes and rental properties by herself. Mary’s mother Gladys was her best friend. She never lived more than 200 yards from her mother and has missed her mother dearly since she passed away over 10 years ago. The family finds comfort in knowing they are together again.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Pitts.

Mary is survived by her husband, John Walter Neugent of Temple, her sons, Kelvin Neugent of Temple, and Ronnie Lynn Neugent of Arkansas; her brother, William Eugene Pitts of Durango, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
