Matt Donald Davis

Matt Donald Davis, 72, of Kempner passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at a local hospital. Matt was born to Geraldine and Matt Davis on August 19, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona. Matt served in the United States Navy, then worked as an automotive tech instructor and was a ASE master mechanic for Universal Technical Institute. He was a member of both the National Hot Rod Association and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed flying model planes, and participated in drag racing. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Pastor H.K. Ballard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Matt is survived by his son, Matt Robert Davis of Copperas Cove; his daughter, Shannon Davis-McGivern of Mesa, AZ; his brother, Kevin R. Davis of Copperas Cove; his sisters, Darline McMillan of Hanceville, AL, and Marline Cole of Norco, CA; his six grandchildren; and his one great grandchild.
