Obituary

Raul Aleman Nieto, a loving, kind, and generous man, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023, surrounded by his family in Temple, Texas. He was born on May 9, 1935, in Waring, Texas, to Onecima (Aleman) and Pablo G. Nieto. Raul was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and friend.

Raul proudly served his country as a Sgt. 1st Class in the United States Army for 20 years. After retiring from the Army, Raul began a successful career in residential construction, where he continued to demonstrate his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

In his free time, Raul found great joy in woodworking and working on cars, with his prized 1957 Chevy holding a special place in his heart. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends, creating unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Raul was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Onecima (Aleman) Nieto, his father, Pablo G. Nieto, his son, Raul Aleman Nieto, Jr. in 1963, his brothers, Manuel, Joe, and George Nieto, and his sisters, Delia Valenciano, Angie Rodriguez, and Nina Gaitan.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Debra Bone of Longview, Texas, Sylvia Taylor of Richmond, Texas, Eliza Timaeus of Castroville, Texas, Teri Harris of Granbury, Texas, and Patti Perry of New Boston, Texas, and his cherished sister, Delfina Moreno of Kyle, Texas, 11 grandchildren and numerus great grandchildren.

Visitation for Raul will be on Friday, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on April 28, 2023 at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton, Texas. His graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at shelter #5 at 9:15 A.M. 

Throughout his life, Raul was known for his loving nature, kindness, and generosity. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him, as well as the lessons he taught them about living a life filled with love, compassion, and gratitude. Raul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the warmth of his love and the strength of his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he left behind. May he rest in peace, knowing that his life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and generosity.
