Tonya Smith

January 27, 1973 — September 28, 2021

Tonya Smith, 48, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at a local hospital.

A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, November 13,2021 from 2:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.

Tonya was born on January 27, 1973, to Lee Kelly and Cynthia Teasley of Fort Hood. She attended Ellison High School, then chased her dream of being an owner operator of TNT Trucking with her husband, Troy Smith, right beside her to support and aide in their success. Tonya loved her mother, father, husband, children, grandchildren, and friends with all her heart and truly lived life to the fullest. She will always be remembered by the way she walked in the room singing baby shark, with her McDonalds iced coffee made exactly how she liked it, with 4 pumps of hazelnut and a shot of espresso in her hand. Tonya will always be known as the life of the party. She loved fishing in Rockport where she and Troy owned their boat, camper, and tons of fishing stuff. She could also be found singing with the radio, playing video games with her son, or hosting a gathering with her family and friends. Her favorite colors were yellow, black, and orange, just like her hellcat.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lee Kelly of Killeen and her brothers Robert Kelly and Charles Hodges.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Troy Smith of Killeen; her mother, Cynthia Teasley of Temple; one son, Donald Smith of Temple; one daughter, Kristy Smith of Killeen; as well as her precious grandson, Landon; Best friend James Smiley of Temple, and numerous other family members and friends.

Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
