Wilma Sue Merrell, 86, of Killeen went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
A funeral service for Sue will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Destiny World Outreach Center in Killeen. Pastor Chad Rowe will be officiating. She will be laid to rest on Monday, August 30, 2021, with a private service for her immediate family at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen next to her late husband, Marlin Merrell.
Sue was born on September 14, 1935, to James and Lana East, in Ilsley, Kentucky. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Sue loved to shop, go tanning, and sing. She was a fashionable woman who always wanted to look her best. You would never see Sue without her hair and makeup done. Sue loved people as much as she loved her late-night snacks. Holidays and birthdays were Sue’s favorite. She enjoyed giving gifts and was a mom to just about everyone, not just her five children. Sue was a Godly woman and instilled her faith in Christ into her children. Sue was a graceful, faithfully devoted woman and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was greeted in Heaven by her loving husband, Marlin Merrell, her brothers, Ralph East, Wesley East, Frank East, Paul East, and Russell East; her sisters, Pat DeMoss and Odosca Haug.
Wilma is survived by her four daughters, Lori Sanders of Tulsa, OK, LeighAnn Soesbee of Wiley, TX Marla Rowe of Killeen,TX and Lana Binion of Midland, TX; her son, Josh Merrell of Killeen,TX; her seven grandchildren, Dustin Sanders, Holly Ramirez, Chaston Rowe, Addison Rowe, MaCayla Rowe, Drew Binion, and Abby Binion; her three great grandchildren, Daxon Sanders, Lorelai Ramirez, Finnley Marlin Ramirez, and numerous family members and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Crotty Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
